If you are starting school
after June 1, 2009, you will be applying for financial aid for the
2009 - 2010 year. You will be using 2008 tax
returns. See the
Independent student definition to determine if you must also
include your parent(s) tax return and personal information on the
application. In addition, after you file your 2009 tax return, you should
also apply for financial aid for the 2010 - 2011 year.
If you
are starting school after June 1, 2010, you will be applying for
financial aid for the 2010-2011 year. You will be using
2009 tax
returns. See the
Independent student definition to
determine if you must also include your parent(s) tax return and personal
information on the application.
In order to apply for financial aid, you must have a
pin number.
1. Go to
www.pin.ed.gov
to apply for a pin number.
Just click on the
"Apply Now"
link.
2. If you are a
dependent student, one parent should also apply
for a seperate pin
number. You should receive a response by email in 48
hours, . You will also
receive a postcard with your pin number within
3 weeks.
3. Once you have received your pin number(s) you can complete the
FAFSA
Application. Please
click
here.
4. It will take you approximately 30 minutes to
complete the form.
When they
ask
for the school code enter "005452".
Don't forget to enter your pin
number at
the end (and your parent's
pin number, if you are a dependent
student) and print
the form for your
records.
After printing, you must hit
the "SUBMIT" button to record the application
with the Department
of Education. The
school should get a response
within 48 hours.

If you decide to attend Teterboro School of
Aeronautics:
A. You should forward a signed
copy of your federal tax return for the appropriate year (and your parent's signed
federal tax return,
if you are a dependent student) to the Financial Aid office at Teterboro
School. If you , or your parent, did not file a tax return, please see
item B below. If both you AND your parent (s) filed a
federal tax return, please skip to section C.
B. If you did not file , or a parent
did not file a federal tax return, please
download and complete a
No Form Filed
form.
Please use the following directions to determine what signatures are needed:
If you are a Dependent Student:
If you, the student, did not file a tax return, please sign the form in the section marked "Signature of non-filer
(student)". If you did file a tax return, leave this space
blank.
1. If your parent did not file a tax return, they should
sign in the section marked
"Signature of non-filer (male
parent/female parent)", as well as the
section marked
"Signature of male parent/female parent" at the bottom
of the form.
2. If your parent did file a tax return, they only need
to sign the section marked
"Signature of male parent/female parent"
at the bottom of the form.
You can then forward the form to the school.
If you are an independent Student:
1. If you, the student, did not file a tax return, please sign the form in the
section marked "Signature of non-filer
(student)".
You can then forward the form to the school.
C. All students should also download the appropriate Financial
Aid Application , as
well as an Educational Purpose Statement. Please complete
both and return
them to the school.

D. If the student is interested in student loans, the school will need
a
Student Loan Selection
form on file. Please download the form,
complete it, and return it with the
other documents.
The School will then
formulate the student's award package. If the student
has
included a student loan as part of his aid package, the student has their
choice
as to lenders.
If the student chooses to have the school
process the loan, please
be advised that all student loans are done
through the Direct Loan
program, which is
administered by the US Department of Education.
The loans will be processed by the school
within one month after the student's starting date.
The student
must also complete the student loan
Entrance Counseling
requirement. Please click
